Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist / PT is responsible for:

  • Patient/client management
  • Delivery, direction and supervision of care provided in an age-appropriate manner, consistent with the principles and practices of the Physical Therapy Practice Act of the State in which the facility is located

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist / PT must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited school of physical therapy or foreign trained physical therapist whose professional association includes membership in the World Confederation for Physical Therapy and who is participating in the program for the foreign trained as prescribed by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Be licensed or eligible for licensure by the appropriate State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
  • Have current CPR certification and maintain same
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting is preferred
