    Responsibilities

    The Biomedical Technician / Dialysis Technician is responsible for:

    • Maintenance of the dialysis equipment, including repair
    • Maintaining and repairing all dialysis machines, water treatment equipment and reuse equipment at a facility
    • Ensuring these systems are running properly and the equipment is working according to strict specifications
    • Overseeing, maintaining and repairing the following equipment at a facility: dialysis machines, reuse equipment and water treatment equipment, floor scales, infusion pumps and centrifuges
    • Performing preventative maintenance and repair dialysis machines
    • Be able to work independently in an in-patient environment

    Qualifications

    The Biomedical Technician / Dialysis Technician must have:

    • Completed an approved training program
    • Hold a current certification as a Hemodialysis Technician (CHT)
    • A current CPR certification
    • 2-3 years of experience, preferred
