    Area Director of Health Information Management

    This position will oversee all three Warms Springs Rehabilitation Hospitals in San Antonio

    Director of Health Information Management is responsible for the overall management of medical records, coding, and health information processes including the development and implementation of health information policies and procedures.  The Director of Health Information Management is consistent with policies and procedures as set forth by accrediting and regulatory agencies. 




    Education and Training: 

    • The Director must be a graduate of a Health Information Management program with subsequent passing of the registry examination (RHIA) or accreditation (RHIT).  


    • 1-3 years experience in a supervisory role in a Health Information Management Department is required. 

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

    • IC9-CM and CPT coding skills.
    • Computer literacy, word processing and the ability to type. 
    • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
    • Excellent organizational skills. 
    • Ability to prioritize. 
    • Ability to work with all customers
