Responsibilities

The Wound Care Coordinator / Registered Nurse is responsible for:

  • Participating in patient and family teaching
  • Providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting

Qualifications

The Wound Care Coordinator / Registered Nurse must:

  • Hold a current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working
  • Maintain certification with the National Alliance of Wound Care or other approved wound care certification course
  • Has current CPR certification and maintains same
  • Have at least 2 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in ER, ICU, or Rehab
